Templates
What is a SWMS and when do I need one in Queensland?
A Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) sets out the high risk construction work being done, the hazards and risks involved, and the control measures you'll put in place. Under the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (Qld), a SWMS must be prepared before high risk construction work starts, for example work with a risk of falling more than 2 metres, work in or near a trench deeper than 1.5 metres, and work near powered mobile plant.
Are your templates compliant with Queensland law?
Every template is written around Queensland's Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Regulation 2011. No template can guarantee compliance on its own, though. Tailor it to your site, consult your workers and review it whenever conditions change.
What format are the documents?
Microsoft Word, with registers in Excel. Edit them in Word or Excel (or free in Word and Excel for the web) and add your own logo and business details.
How do I add my logo?
Open the document in Microsoft Word, click the logo placeholder in the header and insert your own image. Our guide How to add your logo to our SWMS templates walks you through it.
Can I use the templates in my business?
Yes. Add your logo and details and use them in your business. Please don't resell or republish the templates.
Can I request a template you don't have yet?
Yes. Tell us what you need. We read every request, and popular ones get written and added to the store.
Orders and downloads
How do I get my download?
Straight after checkout you'll see your download buttons and get an email with your links. You can re-download from your account at any time.
Are the free templates really free?
Yes. They cost $0 and you don't need a credit card. You just check out with your email so we can send the download link.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. An invoice is emailed with every order, and all past orders are in your account.
How can I pay?
By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through Stripe's secure checkout.
Refunds and support
What if a template isn't right?
If a document doesn't match its description and we can't fix it, we'll refund you within 7 days of purchase or give you store credit. Because files download instantly, we can't refund a change of mind, so check the sample first.
